Jacob’s ladders are a classic wooden fidget toy that is made up of colorful square blocks that are held together by ribbons. If you hold the top block and wiggle your wrist you can put the block in motion. It will look like it is clanking down itself and it makes a soft noise as the blocks hit together. This effect is an illusion that is the result of one block after another flipping over. To set the toy in motion, hold the top block with the single ribbon facing outward. Rotate the wrist forward and backward and watch the blocks fall. Each wood square is 2″, and it is 12″ long.
